Situated at the foot of the Quantock Hills near Watchet, Doniford Meadow Bungalows offer the ideal base for exploring the beautiful Somerset coast and countryside. We offer four bungalows each with two bedrooms, a kitchen with a full size cooker, fridge/ freezer and washing machine, a garden and adjacent parking space.
Up to three dogs are welcome per bungalow at a charge of £20 per week per dog. One cat is also welcome per property at a charge of £15 per week. We ask that you bring protective covers if your pet is prone to climbing on the furniture.
Linen is supplied for your break but please bring along your own towels. Heating is via electric storage heaters, the cost of which is included. Please note that all bungalows are non-smoking.
Short breaks from two nights are welcome and our bungalows are also pet friendly. We are also pleased to offer discounts for over 60s at £20 per week off the advertised full week rate - contact us for further details.
Doniford Halt station along the West Somerset Steam Railway is only 400 metres from Doniford Meadow Bungalows and there are a wealth of cycling, walking and bird watching opportunities in the surrounding countryside.
Our nearest shops are only 1 mile away at Williton or Watchet, and you'll find excellent beaches at nearby Blue Anchor, Dunster
Watchet and Minehead on the coast, Dunster and Porlock in Exmoor and in the heart of Somerset the Cheddar Caves, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury and Wells are all within easy reach.
Travelling from the South on the M5, exit at J25. If you are coming from the East on the A303 take the A358 heading for Taunton. On the A358 signed for Minehead, go through Taunton and continue for around 15 miles heading to Williton. At the mini roundabout take the second exit to Bridgwater.
After 100 yards the main road will bend to the right, into a minor road. Continue straight on along this road for 100 yards, then take a right fork at the Masons Arms. After 1 mile you'll arrive at a T junction - take a right turn here, and then right again and you'll see the bungalows on your right.
On the M5 heading South from Bristol, exit the M5 at J24 heading for Bridgwater and Minehead. Carry on through Bridgwater along the A39 heading towards Minehead. After about 15 miles you'll arrive at West Quantoxhead (St Audries) village. At the Texaco garage on the left continue for 200 yards then take the road on the right - you'll see the bungalows on the left hand side at the bottom of the hill.
