About this Apartment

Situated in a peaceful location on the Isle of Colonsay, Stable Apartment is a comfortable first floor property set over the old stables and courtyard. The property is ideal for families and can also provide a relaxing retreat for couples enjoying a relaxing breaks. Short stays can be taken throughout the year and the property is also dog friendly.


The apartment has a cosy lounge with open fire, two large sofas and an armchair. There is a dining area seating four in the kitchen which is well appointed with a fridge/ freezer, electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and small appliances.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom plus a family bathroom with overhead shower. 


The apartment set in extensive woodland gardens which guests enjoy access to. Parking is also available. Please note that the walled garden immediately in front of the house are not for guest's use. 

Other Things to Note

There is a communal laundry onsite with washing machines and dryers which guests can use free of charge. 


Short breaks may be available throughout the year. Dogs are accepted at an extra charge. 

Electricity is payable via a meter reading taken at the end of your stay.

Around and About

The Island has miles of pristine coastline and beaches which are home to grey seals, otters, dolphins and whales. Colonsay is also a birdwatchers paradise with choughs, corncrakes and golden eagles to look out for. The north of the island has wild goats and there are many ancient and ecclesiastical buildings, chapels and monuments dotting around the island.

The hills of the island are gentle and ideal for walkers/ cyclists of all abilities including children. Trout fishing can also be enjoyed.


Colonsay is served by a Caledonian MacBrayne car ferry service which sails from the Port of Oban every day from 29th March to 24th October and four times a week at other times of the year. The crossing takes 2.5 hours. There are also return flights to and from Oban every week on a Tuesday and Thursday.
