All lodges have Freeview TV, DVD players, dishwashers and some have satellite TV. Some chalets have better Wi-Fi signal than others so please contact us if this is important to you. A choice of pet friendly and pet free accommodation is available.
The private verandas and balconies are the ideal spot to watch the local wildlife with visitors including red squirrels, badgers, Roe deer, Barnacle geese, woodpeckers in spring, mute swans, buzzards plus many more. Due to minimal light pollution at Barend, our lodges are also ideal for a spot of stargazing.
All lodges have a high chair, stair gate and cots can be hired for your stay.
The nearest shop is two miles away but we are happy to arrange daily deliveries of bread, milk and newspapers, along with groceries for your arrival.
Short breaks of three nights or more may be available. Check in time is after 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your final day. Arrivals after 5pm should be organised in advance.
The rental charge includes a gas and electricity allowance of £15 per week during April to September and £25 per week from October to March.
The picturesque beach at Sandyhills can be found a short walk away and is ideal for family days at the beach being warmed by the Gulf Stream. The attractions of Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and Dalbeattie can be found a short drive away. Home to miles of open coastline, a wealth of outdoor activities such as sea kayaking, kite surfing, sea fishing and much more can be enjoyed along the Solway Coast - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
