About this Bed and Breakfast

Bramwood Guest House offers charming 4 star bed and breakfast accommodation, in an elegant grade II listed town house dating from 1734. The guest house is located in the Yorkshire market town of Pickering, within easy reach of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. There are 8 tastefully decorated en-suite guest rooms available, all with excellent facilities including Wi-Fi internet, Freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities. In the morning, a hearty cooked to order full English breakfast is served using locally sourced produce to set you up for the day, and when you return relax in our pretty walled garden or in our cosy lounge in front of a log fire on chillier evenings.

Bramwood Guest House is ideally situated in a quiet road close to Pickering town centre. Attractions such as the Beck Isle Museum, the terminus of the North York Moors Railway and Pickering Castle are just a short walk away, and the town also has a range of shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance from the guest house. Bramwood is also ideal for walkers and cyclists wanting explore the stunning North Yorkshire National Park. Further afield, both Whitby and Scarborough are within a half an hour's drive, and for a day trip out the historic city of York is about 45 minutes away.

More about staying here

Bramwood has 8 guest rooms; 4 double bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 1 family room for three people. All of our bedrooms have en-suites and wireless internet is available throughout. The guest house also has a relaxing guests lounge with a warming open fire which is lit each night except for the midsummer months. Bramwood is a totally non-smoking establishment and pets are not accepted.

Special to Bramwood Guest House

Bramwood is situated in the oldest part of Pickering close to the Parish Church and was built as a gentleman's residence almost 300 years ago. Numerous original features have been retained and provide a reminder of a bygone age. There are remnants throughout the house of the original bell system used to summon the servants, a bread oven in the breakfast room, ornate fireplaces in the lounge, dining room and most bedrooms, and intriguing ceiling hooks in the breakfast room.
