A warm welcome is assured at Pilton House holiday cottage in Newton Village situated just a 12 minute walk from Mumbles and ideally located for exploring the Gower Peninsula. This beautifully presented cottage with living space across three floors has two bedrooms, a modern kitchen, free Wi-Fi and an attractive private courtyard garden with garden furniture and a Studio.
Families are very welcome and up to three well behaved dogs are accepted by arrangement, free of charge. Short breaks are welcome throughout the year.
Please note that the cottage can accommodate up to 4 adults + 1 baby or 1 child within our two bedrooms. Although the front bedroom is large enough to set up either a travel cot in there, or one toddler bed, the second bedroom contains a super-king bed that can be converted into two single beds, but it isn't possible to accommodate any other beds within that room.
We do welcome families, but regret that we don't have either the facilities or the space to set up more than one travel cot for a baby, or one toddler bed for a child up to 5 years old. However, we do try to be flexible, so please check with us first.
The fully tiled shower room contains a large rectangular enclosure within which is a tower-shower with body jets and two shower-heads.
We don't have a specific changeover day for the cottage, as we can be as flexible as is required. Should however a Sunday arrival be required, please check with us first.
In November 2017 we proudly collected two tourism industry awards - For our Pilton House Gower cottage itself we were awarded a "Highly Commended" Certificate by Swansea Bay Tourism, whilst for a new for 2017 category, namely Best Dog Friendly Tourism Business, we were the outright winner, beating hotels, and many other accommodation businesses, as well as Tourism places to visit!
The cottage is in an ideal location, being located on the edge of the beautiful Gower Peninsula, yet only a 15 to 20 minute walk to Mumbles village with its choice of shops and eateries, whilst the stunning sandy beaches of Langland and Caswell are only a 15 to 20 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) away.
