“I simply can't rate this place highly enough. The chalet itself is situated on a cliff edge (though it's safely walled in, for parents of wee ones!) and the view is just stunning. We brought card games and books and all sorts of things to do in the evenings, and ended up just staring at the sea all night!! It was beautifully clean when we arrived, and June had provided so many thoughtful touches that made our stay that little bit more awesome (seriously above and beyond anything I've ever experienced staying in. A little problem with the drainage was sorted within hours, with no inconvenience to us. The house was perfect for our little family (2 adults, a nearly 2 year old and an elderly dog). And as for the surroundings!! We averaged 2 beaches a day, and never got bored of the scenery, the sand, the sea, or anything about this lovely place. I would recommend Pembrokeshire, and specifically Haven High, to anyone looking for a lovely holiday in a beautiful place". Faith 2019
"Fantastic location if you like peace and quiet.Lovely outdoor seating area where you can chill out and watch the boats as well as the birds.Roomy, comfortable sitting/eating area with great views.Kitchen and bathroom compact but have everything you need.Plenty of hot water.Generous welcome pack, much appreciated. Good area for walking-no need to drive far.Lovely flowers everywhere, interesting birds and butterflies a plenty.Several beaches within a few miles and a variety of water sports.Would recommend parking at Marloes Sands National Trust car park, visiting the cafe and walking to the beach or along the coastal path to Martin's Haven." "I hate to leave great reviews as this means more people will come to stay at this special place giving us less chance to pick the weeks we want. If you want to get away from everyone and everything enjoy a stunning view then this is the place for you. June is a wonderful host and is 100% non intrusive. The cottage is spotless and has everything you may need for a long weekend or week away. I’ve lost count how many times my family has been to Haven High but rest assured there will be many more visits. Thankyou June" Gary Wronecki 2019.
"After a lovely stay at Haven High Cottage in 2018 we decided to return in 2019 for more of the same. Once again we were greeted with a welcoming gift of bread, wonderful fruit and milk in the fridge and June, the owner, was in touch to make sure everything was fine. The cottage is a real home-from-home, cosy and welcoming and without a doubt has the best panoramic views in the area. The cottage has a large garden area, with outside chairs, table and very comfortable bench made from a tree trunk and there is ample parking. Surrounded by fields on three sides and with the large bay that leads to Milford Haven in front there are times when you can't hear any man-made noise at all, just the birds and the distant cattle. We used the cottage as a base to visit the local area and even tackled the Coastal Path that runs between the cottage and the sea! On the one day it rained we stayed at home and enjoyed our creature comforts. I had never visited Pembrokeshire before 2018 but have fallen in love with it and Haven High, with its friendly welcome, allowing dogs to stay, comfort and cosiness is an ideal and idyllic place to stay. We are already discussing next year's visit." Ian Jasper 2019
"We have just spent another holiday at Haven High the weather may have been a bit iffy at times but did not dampen our enthusiasm for the incredible view and varied wildlife . Badger , Fox and 38 different species of bird all without leaving the garden . To sit having breakfast watching Gannets diving and dinner watching Shearwaters flying back to Skomer plus the occasional seal is priceless . The coast path is 25 meters away so lots of good walks without using the car plus a 10 minute stroll to a small sandy cove which has so few visitors it as good as a private beach at low tide . The owner June left us a great welcome pack of local goodies and as always the bungalow was spotless. Thank you June we will see you next year." Mike and Pam Hesk 2019
"We had a great week in Haven High. The view is amazing. Two nice beaches within walking distance. Great hikes in the area. June had left milk, plenty of eggs and fruits and even a bottle of wine to welcome us. A place that we highly recommend whatever the weather!" Esparbes Aug 2016
"We had a lovely weeks stay at Haven High, the views were just stunning! We arrived to a fruit basket, milk in the fridge and a lovely bottle of wine which was very well received after a long journey. The location is very close to amazing walks, tranquil beaches and local shops, when the sun was shining we felt like we were abroad! Thanks June for making our holiday special :-)"
"We had a wonderful stay here - the cottage is very comfortable and has everything we needed, and more. The views are stunning, we didn't eat out once in the week as we wanted to go back and have our brilliant panoramic view with our meal. The grass area around the cottage is great for children to play safely. We hope to be able to go back another time!"
"We had a great two weeks at Haven High. The views and wildlife were amazing and Mill Bay (5 mins walk away) is great for seal watching and lots of rock pools at low tide. Would definitely recommend as a peaceful retreat"
"Haven High never ceases to give us an amazing holiday superb views and great walking from the doorstep yet real peace and quiet and the wildlife is abundant. Our 7th visit and cannot wait to return."
"Absolutely loved the 3 night stay we had over the bank holiday in Haven High Cottage... We had some gorgeous, breath taking views from the lounge - especially of the full moon and its reflection on water - super beautiful. We loved the hospitality of June, the owner of the cottage - she was very accommodating and flexible. She took good care of every minute detail to make our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Thank you so much, June. We miss the trip already and will love to do it again - hope to get this same cottage on the next holiday."
