The Sun Inn in Kirkby Lonsdale is celebrating after being awarded a 5* AA Rating.
The Story
Mark and Lucy Fuller purchased the Sun Inn pub hotel in Kirkby Lonsdale on Market Street two years ago. The couple had many years experience in the hospitality industry; having worked for DeVere, Moathouse and Forte. But this was their first solo project and they set themselves some very stretching targets.
They had a five year target of achieving both 5* AA rating and a rosette and, incredibly, they’ve managed to achieve both in just two years.

Since purchasing The Sun, the Fuller’s have invested in a new roof and, in the past twelve months alone; have spent £180,000 on interior refurbishments.
The bedrooms have been upgraded and six are now deluxe standard. Each bedroom is en-suite, with excellent quality beds and furnishings; meeting the main standards required to achieve the ultimate accolade of 5* AA Rating.

The Results
Mark and Lucy achieved both 5* AA rating and a Rosette Award in just two years. They put much of their success down to their location in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale; a thriving market town.
