The world of tourism came together in Pembrokeshire on Friday 16th May to celebrate the very first Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards.
The night was a runaway success with 8 winners including a surprise win by a brand new business, fine dining restaurant, Y Mochyn Drwg, (The Naughty Pig) in Newport, which scooped the overall prize of Judges Favourite.
230 guests celebrated the awards at a glittering black tie party at the Cleddau Bridge hotel. Guests included Jonathan Jones, Director of Visit Wales and there was a surprise appearance by “I'm a Celebrity…” and former Changing Rooms star, Anna Ryder Richardson who has recently bought Manor House Wild Animal Park near Tenby.
“We wanted to create an event to celebrate, reward and inspire all the wonderful businesses which make Pembrokeshire such a great tourist destination. This is the first time there has ever been a dedicated tourism awards party. We were thrilled by the support and how much everyone enjoyed themselves, let alone the networking and business that was being done between drinks!” Said Pembrokeshire Tourism Chief Executive, Rachel Hicks
