Travel Writer / Internet Researcher - Posted 18/12/06

Great research and writing is a key component of all our regional accommodation websites both in the UK and overseas. To apply for this role you must have excellent and proven creative writing and research skills which may well have been demonstrated at degree level studies.

The main part of the role is to produce the content and photographs for the Tourist Information sections of our websites, such as the page structures shown here on our Cornwall and Canary Islands sites:

You will also be required to update information on all sites and conduct research and produce text on many other related issues as required. No knowledge of website design is required.

Key requirements are:

Creative writing skills
Ability to work creatively but also within defined processes
Quickly analyse, assess and prioritise information about an area
Familiarity with web research and tools essential
Interest in digital photography essential
Love of travel, history and culture essential
General writing skills to a high level is essential
Previous travel writing experience an advantage
Must be willing and able to travel overseas for weeks at a time
Must have full driving license
