Internet marketing and hotel websites business iknow-uk limited was set up in 2003 by the directors of two successful but very different web development companies.

Marcus Simmons and Mark Cullen ran the web design and internet marketing company iMakeWebSites Limited (www.imakewebsites.com) and developed the concept of High Visibility Websites. Their websites were guaranteed to be found in search engines and be chosen for commerce. The performance of the websites they developed was outstanding and led to business-changing sales increases for most customers.

Sharif Khan ran a web software development company and was highly skilled at all aspects of advanced database and e-commerce design for web applications.

By finding out what does and what does not work on the web with their previous businesses the original directors of iknow-uk felt liberated by developing their own websites. Marcus Simmons, Managing Director of iknow-uk, says "We knew how to build great websites and so maximize the effectiveness of web advertising for hundreds of individual accommodation businesses. In setting up iknow-uk we put our money where our mouths wereas the only income we get is directly from the success of our websites."

www.iknow-yorkshire.co.uk was the first site to be launched in September 2003.

The business has now been recognized by outstanding site visitor figures, a string of awards and most importantly by many hundreds of very satisfied customers.
