Our People
At iknow we take great care in selecting only the most talented and capable people to work here and, as a result, we have a wonderful team of people who enjoy what they do - which inevitably means happy customers!
Customer Support Team:
The customer support team are a friendly team of people who are on hand to answer any customer questions and enquiries. They set up the adverts (listings) on the iknow sites. All of the team have a background in writing & advertising and will use their expertise and knowledge to set up an effective listing. As well as writing and activating the listings, they respond to all incoming customer enquiries via both email and telephone.
Retentions:
With an incredible 90% average year on year renewal rate, the Retentions team have a high standard to maintain. They start to remind customers two months before their subscription is due and each week up to the renewal date. They take the opportunity to give their listing a full MOT and annual service, advising them of any features they are not using which would benefit them and reviewing the performance over the year
Sales Team:
The sales team are a busy bunch – always looking for new opportunities and continually making and taking calls and emails to and from hospitality owners looking to advertise on our sites. Always happy to speak to a prospective customer, they will use their knowledge and experience in our business to help them chose the right product for your business.
Accounts Team:
Wonder where your calculator has vanished to? Ask the Accounts Team! The accounts team are on hand if you have any query about your invoice or payment for your listing. The Finance department deals with general finance related administration tasks such as processing invoices, making payments, taking customer payments, reviewing bank balances, minimising costs
Marketing and PR:
They’re the team that get our customers noticed and of course, the iknow brand recognised! The marketing team work hard to get iknow in the public domain through mediums such as newspapers, magazines, radio and TV. They use a range of different strategies to help market the brand including social media, direct mail, PR stunts, press releases, literature, exhibitions and campaigns. As the company grows so does the interest by the media and we are regularly contacted by the national, local and regional press. The team is also responsible for the way the websites look, and are currently working on new sites for both our customers, potential customers and our consumers.
Development and IT:
The brains of the organisation! All the intricate functionality of our websites is down to the people in the “engine” room, keeping the website running, on-line - fast and responsive. The “Boffins” also keep the internal systems operating.
S.E.O:
The SEO Team are responsible for getting your business found in the search engines on the internet. They optimise the iknow websites, which primarily involves editing the content of the pages to match what people are searching for. Each region specific website (e.g. iknow-yorkshire.co.uk) contains over 100,000 individual filter pages. This volume of pages allows the SEO team to include lots of different vocabulary, which increases the chance of any particular phrase that is searched for appearing somewhere on our website. SEO also create links between our pages as well as to and from external websites.
Data and Research:
Using various internet sources and local press, Data and Research gather and collate contact details and create basic listings for accommodation providers, food & drink outlets, tourist attractions, shops and “A to B” travel services.
