Can I have an advert if I don't have email?Yes. To help you monitor enquiries generated from our site, an 084 number and a web link to your website will be added to your advert.
What if I don't have email or a website?You will need at least one of these; otherwise you would be unlikely to receive a good level of booking enquiries.
What if I don't have good photos of my property?Good quality photos are essential if you want to get good results – people visiting our sites can only make a judgment on what they can see. Generally, the better the photos the better your results on our sites, so try to make sure you get good ones.
Can I monitor my booking enquiries?Yes. With your password you can access your control panel and monitor your enquiries. This includes emails, phone calls, clicks through to your own website and online bookings.
How do I add online booking to my advert?If you already work with an online booking partner and would like to add online booking to your iknow advert, please call our customer support team on 0844 372 9090.
If you don't yet work with a booking partner and would like more information about online booking and the benefits of having it on your advert, please call our Head of Partner Relations, Sam Brown, on 01772 521172. We work with several online booking partners and have negotiated a 0% commission with many of them.

If you use the iknow calendar and regularly keep this and your prices up-to-date, you'll also appear in availability search results, which is a new way for people to find you on our sites.
Overall there's a shift towards more and more people preferring online booking – increasingly you'll limit your booking potential if you don't give potential guests the option to book online.
Why has iknow added online booking to its sites?We want iknow to be recognised as the place to go for more choice. This means providing the best range of properties available, bookable in the ways most preferred by consumers.
There's huge consumer demand for online booking. Many people will not use our sites until we add that functionality. We've asked our site users and they told us overwhelmingly that they wanted online booking.
So by providing online booking we're both increasing our attractiveness to consumers, and the likelihood that they'll book on the iknow websites.
Can I still get commission-free bookings with iknow?Yes. All iknow customers can still obtain commission-free bookings when advertising on our sites. No commissions are paid if a site visitor decides to contact your property and make a booking by phone, email or through your website. All contact options will remain prominently displayed for consumers to choose which method they want to use.

Can I choose how I pay for my advert?We have different ways you can pay for your advert to suit you. We have a fixed annual fee which can be paid in full at the time of purchase or you can choose to pay through monthly direct debits. We also have a commission based model where you pay an agreed commission rate for each enquiry you generate through iknow. For more information about payment methods call 0800 064 3333.
Can I try before I buy?Yes! You can benefit from a completely free advert on iknow for one month. There are no set-up charges or fees of any sort. And if you don't feel we're right for you after your free trial, we'll simply remove the advert and we won't charge you a penny!
Will you invoice me if I don't end the free trial?No. Unfortunately we do hear of this practice quite often, but rest assured: the trial is completely free, with no obligation to buy.
To log-in to your control panel visit www.iknow-uk.com and click the blue "Log in to my account" link at the top of the screen. It will ask you for an email and a password. If you've forgotten either of these please contact our customer support team on 0844 372 9090 and they will send you your details.
What's the 084 number on my advert?The 084 number is a phone number that simply masks your landline number.
Each time somebody calls the 084 number on your iknow advert, before the call is connected you’ll hear a short voice message which confirms that it’s a call sent from iknow-uk. Following the message, you and the potential guest will then be connected as normal.
When you receive a phone call enquiry from iknow-uk, this is the message you will hear: “This is a booking enquiry from iknow-uk”
When you receive a phone call enquiry through the Employee Benefit Scheme, you will hear this message: "This is a booking enquiry from the iknow-uk discount service"
When the 084 number is dialled by a guest, it monitors the call so you can see how many phone calls have been generated from your iknow advert. This number is automatically added to your advert at no extra cost.
This is being rolled out during Feb 2012.
When I call the 084 number it doesn't work.The 084 number is attached to your landline number. If you call this number from your landline you will be calling yourself and will be unable to get a response. If you want to check this number is working we recommend you call from an alternate telephone line.
I can't find myself on your website.If you haven't already, try typing the name of your property in the 'Find Accommodation' section at the top of any iknow website. If you still can't find yourself, it may because you have not filled in your availability or prices which will stop you being shown in any searches made.
How do I update my prices and my availability calendar?To update your prices and calendar simply follow this easy step-by-step guide. If at any point you get stuck, don't worry. Call us on 0844 372 9090 and we'll be happy to talk you through it. Once you've done it once, you'll be a whiz at it!
We strongly advise that your prices and availability are updated at least every 2-4 weeks to avoid any disappointed visitors.
Where can I add special offers?You can add your special offers in your control panel by clicking into 'Edit Pages' and 'Booking Info' and filling in the boxes marked 'Discounts and Deals'. Once completed, click the 'Save Details' button. We're also pleased to say that we're currently working on a new project for special offers! We're now on the look-out for amazing deals or promotions you have – so please contact our marketing team now with details of your offer and we'll be in touch!
Do the email enquiries come to me directly?Yes, the email enquiries will be sent directly to your email address. No booking enquiries will come to us first – they are sent directly to you.
How do I change the text?We'll be happy to make any text changes to your advert whenever you wish. You can send the changes directly from the control panel or you can email us with the changes you'd like to make along with your ID number and property name and we'll update your text for you.
