Holt

Holt is a charming Norfolk market town located just inland from the North Norfolk Coast, conveniently just off the A148 putting it within easy reach of Fakenham Racecourse. Vintage steam railway the North Norfolk Railway, fondly known as the Poppy Line, runs all the way from Holt station through pretty Norfolk countryside to Sheringham on the coast and Holt's heritage market town centre is brimming with cosy tearooms and cafes, craft shops and restaurants.

Holt Country Park and Febrigg Hall, Garden and Park are two stunning local attractions. Holt Country Park is a Green Flag award-winner featuring beautiful Scots Pine and native broadleaves. The park is rich in wildlife including Greater Spotted Woodpeckers and deer. Waymarked trails, short and long, with coloured arrows weave around the park and there are traffic free cycle routes here at Holt Country Park too. Children will love the woodland sculptures which feature along trails! If you're based in a Holt holiday cottage or guest house you're just a stone's throw from capital Norwich and award-winning beaches, boat trips and sailing on the North Norfolk Coast.
