River Tywi, Carmarthen

Possibly the oldest town in Wales and the birthplace of Merlin, Carmarthen sits alongside the River Tywi and offers a scenic base for exploring surrounding Carmarthenshire. The town offers a host of attractions including County Hall which was designed by the architect John Nash and the beautiful ruins of Carmarthen Castle.
