Picturesque Padstow along the Camel estuary is a historic fishing village in North Cornwall. The bustling working harbour here is one of Cornwall's most beautiful, brimming with fine cafes, restaurants and fish & chip takeaways flanking the quayside. Padstow is nicely sheltered from the Atlantic by the great headlands of Pentire and Stepper on the coast. Award-winning sandy beach bays - Constantine and Harlyn - and spectacular coast path walking are along the Padstow coast. The village has gained a reputation for culinary excellence, particularly for its seafood. Rick Stein has a selection of eateries and takeaways, and there are many other outstanding restaurants and bistros. Around the narrow streets of the village centre and South Quay you'll also find numerous independent shops, galleries and craft studios perfect for leisurely browsing and buying.
