Reeth is the main market town centre in the Swaledale area of the Yorkshire Dales and sits at the meeting point of two Dales, Arkengarthdale and Swaledale, overlooking the River Swale. Brimming with quaint tearooms, traditional inns and a top spot for local produce markets, Reeth is home to one of the National Park's main visitor centres and the popular Swaledale Museum with on-site cafe, shop and fascinating exhibitions on the geology, mining and craft heritage of the Swaledale area.

Outdoor activity enthusiasts will find Reeth the perfect holiday base in the Yorkshire Dales, with Mountain biking, a choice of walks, indoor and outdoor climbing, caving and kayaking along the River Swale all widely available around the market town. Visit one of the surrounding heritage villages near Reeth including the old lead mining centre of Grinton with Norman Church. Pick up the scenic Copse Way from Grinton or head off up local Freminghton Edge for panoramic views of Swaledale.

Reeth also nestles alongside Wainwright's Coast to Coast trail and sits close to the Dales Way.
