Famous for its golden sands, Lowestoft beach to the North and South of Claremont Pier are Blue Flag Award-winners. Lifeguard patrolled during summer, Lowestoft beach is gentle and family friendly offering ample opportunity for watersports. The long promenade is the site for great seafront attractions like the Princess Royal Fountains with water jets near East Point Pavilion.

Lowestoft's two piers are South Pier near the heritage quay and marina with ten pin bowling, fish & chip restaurants, family pub and amusements. The resort's second pier, Claremont Pier on Wellington Esplanade contains a family roller skating rink, aquarium, restaurant, tearooms, bar and party venue, fun palace and casino.

Traditional seaside attractions and amenities are plentiful and include a good choice of family cafes, pubs, tearooms, restaurants and fresh seafood stalls. The Promenade with colourful beach huts bustles with fun activities including crazy golf, putting greens and a small boating lake.

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park

Top theme parks and animals parks sit within an easy drive of Lowestoft. Award-winning Pleasurewood Hills theme park is just a 10 minute drive away to the north and guarantees a fun family day out. The 50 acre park features a mix of thrill rides including adrenalin pumping roller coasters, white water family rides and themed adventure play areas ideal for younger children. Tearooms, restaurants, a gift shop and a quirky parrot show are all onsite.
