The village contains a selection of fine local shops, stylish cafes, tearooms and traditional real ale pubs and is ideally situated for touring with North Walsham, Cromer, Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and the sand dune nature reserve at Winterton all situated within easy driving distance.

Mundesley has a stunning Blue Flag beach flanked by pretty beach huts and sea cliffs. Visit the little Mundesley Maritime Museum housed within a former coastguard lookout featuring exhibits on fishing, lifeboat rescue, shipwrecks and the development of Mundesley as a seaside resort. The north east coast between Caister and Cromer is wonderfully peaceful with attractions including Happisburgh (pronounced 'Haze-brugh') village and lighthouse. The red and white Happisburgh Lighthouse is the oldest working light in East Anglia, built in 1790.
