About this Holiday Cottage

Tigh na' Caoiraich is surrounded by some of the finest Highland scenery. The cottage is 16 miles inland from the North Sea and is encircled by stunning mountains and flowing rivers including the River Garry. The location is absolutely perfect for those seeking peaceful solitude in an oasis of serenity. The area is full of appealing hill walks for the experienced walker, and there are many munros and corbetts. There are also many low-level walks which run alongside the picturesque rivers and lochs.

The cottage has an open plan kitchen/dining room and lovely sitting room with a vaulted ceiling and wood burning stove.  The well equipped kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave, a twin tub washing machine and a beautiful hand made pine table.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

Stairs lead to two attic bedrooms, each with a double and single bed. There is a bunk-room also on the ground floor with several sets of bunks. The cottage is let for up to eight people. There is a bathroom with bath and shower and an additional toilet.

Two acres of grounds with furniture and barbecue.  Please note that a stream runs through the grounds and the lochside is 500 yards away.

Other Things to Note

  • There is a cot and high-chair and stair gates for children and dogs.
  • The cottage has no TV or phone.
  • Bottled water is recommended for drinking as we are not on mains water but have a private supply.
  • Duvets and pillows are provided but please provide your own linen and towels.
