These 3 eco-barns were built in the 1700s and have been devotedly restored to offer the highest standard of luxury, comfort, furnishing, art and design. We have retained all the period detail you would expect to find in an old barn. Although these holiday cottages can be booked individually, they are also ideal for groups, whether couples, friends or families.

Our luxury self-catering holiday cottages are ideally placed within easy reach of York city centre. A direct bus service takes approx 30 mins to the city centre. York plays host to numerous museums and cultural historic sites including York Minster, The National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, The Castle Museum, Cliffords Tower and The Yorkshire Museum to name but a few.
All year round there are numerous events taking place including food and drink festivals, cultural festivals, street entertainers, markets and much more. Our holiday cottages are ideal for walking & cycling and are within easy travelling distance of the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors.
From the south and west (M62 and A1M): Exit from the A1(M) at junction 42 and follow signs towards Selby on the A63. After 2 miles you reach a round-about. Take the first exit onto the A162 towards Tadcaster. After a mile you reach another round-about. Take the 2nd exit staying on the A162. After approx. 2 miles you reach another round-about. Take the 3rd exit onto the B1222 towards Cawood. Keep on this road for about 6 miles until you reach Cawood.
At Cawood you go straight on at the lights and over the bridge. You are now on a very straight road, at the top of this straight you turn right towards Kelfield. As you reach the village (about 2/3rds of a mile) there is a sign for the Dovecote Barns set back against some trees on the left-hand side. Once into the village you take the first left and you have arrived.
