Ideally situated for exploring the attractions of Keswick and Derwentwater, Babbling Brook Guest House was established in 2008 and offers a comfortable range of accommodation for couples, friends, walking/ cycling groups and families.
All of our guest rooms offer beautiful views over the surrounding area including Cat Bells, Grisedale Pike, Latrigg, Skiddaw and the River Greta. Facilities in our rooms include free Wi-Fi, a 19" TV with digital Freeview service where available, a radio alarm clock, fresh hand & bath towels, tea/ coffee & biscuits, central heating, double glazing and a comfortable bed with quality mattress.
Our range of accommodation includes one family/ superior room with ensuite, king size bed, sofa bed, pull out mattress and DVD player. There are two further ensuite double rooms plus one twin room and two double room which share shower room facilities. Bathrobes are provided in our guest rooms which use the shared shower room.
We serve breakfast between 8.30am and 9.30 and our buffet includes a range of cereals, toast, preserves, juices, tea and coffee. Enjoy a full Cumbrian breakfast including locally made sausage (90% meat content), free range eggs, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns, beans and tomatoes. A vegetarian or gluten free breakfast can also be provided on request.
Packed lunches can be provided by arrangement for days out. We have limited onsite car parking and can provide secure storage for bikes.
Smoking is not permitted within the house but there is a private sitting area to the side where smoking is permitted.
Special prices and a two night stay may apply on Bank Holiday weekends, Valentines Day and New Years Eve. Children under 12 stay at £15 per night. Check in time is from 3.30pm unless previously arranged and check out time is by 10am.
Our guest house is situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Keswick and directly opposite Fitz Park. The River Greta also runs nearby and we are set within easy reach of Derwentwater.
Leave the M6 at junction 40, at the roundabout take the exit onto the A66 (signposted Keswick). After about a mile take the 3rd exit of the roundabout following the A66 (signposted Workington, Keswick). Follow the A66 for about 13 miles then branch left and merge onto the A591 (signposted Windermere, Keswick). After about half a mile turn right at the T-junction onto the A5271 (signposted Town Centre). After another half a mile turn left onto Wordsworth Street and you will find us at number 1.
