A historic Tudor style 1930s inn, the Masons Arms on Fishergate in York overlooks the City Walls and is just a 15 minute stroll from the station and a 7 minute walk from the city centre. This traditional pub gem was built in 1935 as a flagship inn for local brewer Tadcaster Tower Brewery and boasts an interior brimming with Gothic features from York Castle including classic oak paneling and a fireplace from the Castle's gatehouse. We serve a selection of hand-pulled real ales and fine food for both lunch and dinner. A peaceful beer terrace is also available overlooking the River Foss and free parking is available adjacent to guest rooms.
Accommodation is situated in the annexe building to the rear of the inn and includes four double rooms all with en-suite facilities containing a shower, wc and a wash basin. Each room is stylishly furnished with full central heating, a TV, radio alarm, a hairdryer, towels and a refreshment tray with tea and coffee making facilities. Ironing facilities are happily supplied on request.
Breakfast is included in your stay and a range of hearty traditional meals are served in-house. We also have a daily specials blackboard and a range of vegetarian options. Our large portions are famous!
The Masons Arms sits just yards from a Park & Ride bus stop, and only a 7 minute walk from the city centre.
