Longmead House is a perfect base for walking and touring the Exmoor coast and countryside.  We are situated close to the South West Coast Path, Tarka Trail and Two Moors Way.  The spectacular Valley of the Rocks, a rock-strewn dry valley inhabited by wild goats and Exmoor ponies popular is also nearby and very popular with walkers.  We'll happily provide a selection of OS maps and guides for guests looking to walk the local area.

Lynton and Lynmouth are brimming with character shops, fine restaurants and cafes, and don't miss a ride on the famous Victorian Cliff Railway from Lynton down the hill to Lynmouth harbour.  Lynton also has a small cinema only a few minutes' walk from Longmead House and the National Trust's Watersmeet secluded valley with a tea room, riverside walks and waterfalls is also nearby.

Other activities available in the local area include horse riding, fishing and cycling in Exmoor.  Stroll along Lynmouth Harbour towards Rhenish Tower and stop at a cafe for traditional Devon Cream Tea.
