Whether you plan to walk, climb, run, paddle or cycle, we provide a superbly appointed base for your stay which is situated in a lovely enclosed garden.
This luxury cottage has an open plan lounge/ kitchen area with wood burner stove, plenty of comfortable seating, a TV with Sky Sports, breakfast bar and dining area seating four. The lounge has wood floor and the tiled kitchen floor has underfloor heating which the family dog will love. Modern self catering facilities in the kitchen include an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and fridge with ice box.
The large entrance porch is a great space for dealing with wet gear or dogs. There is an adjacent utility room with freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer plus a Belfast sink for washing muddy boots and paws.
The cottage can sleep up to four people in two bedrooms which both have ensuites with power showers. One also has a bath where you can relax and ease aching muscles after a busy day in the beautiful West Wales countryside. Hair dryers are provided in each bedroom.
Enjoy spending time in the private secluded patio and garden or take a walk or cycle ride in Brechfa Forest - the cottage offers direct access for your convenience. The views are spectacular from the garden and you can regularly spot buzzards and red kites soaring above your head. Private driveway parking is available for the cottage and there are bike storage and wash down facilities.
Dogs are welcome and we provide a dog towel, bowls and pooh bags.
The rental price includes bed linen, towels, tea towels plus an initial supply of basic essentials including tea, sugar, washing up liquid, loo rolls, hand soap, kitchen towels and laundry products. Oil central heating is also included.
A selection of books, DVDs, games and local maps is supplied.
Short breaks of three and four nights are welcome throughout the year.
The cottage is set near the top of Llanllwni Mountain and in an ideal spot for exploring the Carmarthenshire countryside. There are plenty of mountain bike trails in the nearby Brechfa Forest and a shed serving a range of snacks and drinks. You could also visit the Teifi Pools, the Llyn Brianne Dam, Devil's Bridge Fells or Llanllwni Mountain.
The surrounding area is also home to a choice of historic castles for you to visit or visit one of three nearby National Trust properties.
Carmarthenshire has plenty of dog friendly beaches and walks for you and your four legged friend to enjoy including Pembrey Country Park, Pendine, Laughharne and Llanelli.
