At The Garsdale in the North Yorkshire Dales we offer quality accommodation from where guests can enjoy a tranquil stay. All of our rooms offer luxury furnishings and amenities, excellent finishing touches and a sumptuous home cooked breakfast with our own free range eggs.
Our property is a newly converted barn and attached to Moorcock House and near the Moorcock Inn. It retains many original features yet offers the very best of modern day luxury facilities with fantastic country views in all direction.
We have three spacious and very comfortable rooms to choose from, a family room which sleeps up to 4 people and two double rooms which can also be made into a twin room. All rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, 26” HD FreeSat TV’s, mini fridge, Wi-Fi internet access, luxury cotton bath robes, slippers and fluffy towels.
Breakfasts are served between 8 30am and 9 30am each morning in our elegant dining room. Enjoy a choice of continental style options including toasts, cereals and fruit juices followed by a Full English breakfast made with award winning locally sourced ingredients.
Smaller breakfast portions and a range of lighter cooked options are available including omlettes, fresh fruit and salmon. Special diets can be catered for with prior notification.
We have an alarmed lock-up for bikes and a small paddock for horses. If you are on a romantic weekend, we can arrange for flowers in your room, book tables for you in local restaurants and with our Taxi company (Country Private Hire) we can also take you to the restaurant so you don't have to worry about driving.
Men's, ladies and children's cycles available to hire - half day, full day or weekend rates, please contact us to enquire and make a booking.
We have a Licensed Bar for guests and your friends that may be staying or living local, offering a good selection of champagnes, quality wines, beers and spirits all at very low prices for guests.
For entertainment we have a number of board and card games for guest use including Scrabble, Chess, Poker and a large TV and a Laptop available for guest use in the dining room. Snacks, evening meals and packed lunches are also available.

The Garsdale Bed & Breakfast is open all year through. We have 3 beautifully decorated rooms all with King-sized beds and power shower en-suites. Our Winter Special Offers run from November through to March with discounts on 1 or 2 night bookings &/or 3 nights for the price of 2 (DB+B for 2).
We ask for a deposit of £20pppn to confirm a booking, this is non-refundable. We offer travel assurance, please enquire when booking.
From the A1: Leave the A1 at Bedale/ Leeming Bar. Head west following the A684 through Leyburn and Hawes. Continue though Hawes on A684 for about 4 miles and you will see us on the right hand side close to the junction to Kirby Stephen (B6259) next to the Moorcock Inn.
From the M6: Leave the M6 at Junction 37. Head towards Sedbergh on the A684. Go though Sedbergh staying on the A684 towards Hawes. You need to turn right towards Hawes as you are coming out of Sedbergh town centre on the A684. Follow the A684 through Garsdale and then you pass under a viaduct. As you drop down the hill you will see on your left the Junction on the left B6259 and on that Junction a Pub called the Moorcock Inn. We are located just after the pub.
Arriving at Garsdale Train Station: Let us know your arrival time and we will collect you free of charge in our Mini Bus (Country Private Hire) We can carry up to 8 Passengers and Luggage “The Little Red Bus” minibus service operates to carry passengers to & from Garsdale Head Station to Hawes and stops and picks up passengers outside our door.
Also a regular bus service operates between Hawes, Leyburn, Bedale and Northallerton. If you are arriving at any other train station, Please let us know and we can collect you, a charge may apply depending on the number of guests and the distance to the station.
