Streonshalh (the old Viking name for Whitby), is a spacious Victorian B&B in Robin Hood's Bay near Whitby. Dating from 1893, the property has been tastefully modernised yet retains Victorian features. Accommodation can sleep parties of up to 10 guests and the location at the top of the village is only a short walk from central inns and amenities.
Free WiFi internet access is avaialble and the guest house has some partial sea views. We'll also happily provide packed lunches on request. Keen cyclists will find secure bike storage available in the onsite private walled backyard.
Accommodation includes four double en-suite rooms. Two of these can be twin rooms if preferred. Two rooms have 6' super king-size beds and two rooms have king-size double beds.
All rooms have hairdryers, generously stocked refreshment trays, flat-screen TVs and DVD players.
A varied menu selection includes fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereals and muesli, full cooked breakfasts with free range eggs and variations on a full English breakfast. Ligher cooked options including Whitby smoked kippers or porridge are also available.
Our home-made banana bread, muesli flapjack or fruit scones (available as part of breakfast or to take away) are highly recommended!
Gluten free products are available and vegetarians are catered for with Linda McCartney alternatives.
