The Nags Head Residential Country Inn and Restaurant in Pickhill is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. We offer a superb facilities whether you are enjoying a family meal, sampling one of our real ales or booking one of our clean and functional guest rooms for a relaxing overnight stay.
Our range of twelve ensuite guest rooms includes double and twin accommodation and we have two ground floor rooms suitable for wheelchair access. Facilities include a tea/ coffee making tray, telephone, TV and modem point. Extra beds can be provided for children under 10 years old and we can also supply cots for children. Please order when booking. Our rates include a full cooked breakfast. Some guest rooms are pet friendly by prior arrangement.
We offer an evening a la carte menu and a Tap Room Lunch Menu which includes a range of lighter meals, snacks and sandwiches. Dine in the Lounge Bar for a more cosy and informal dining experience with options ranging from bar snacks to gourmet three or four course meals served. A weekly Sunday lunch is also available and all food is fresh and cooked to order.
The Bar is open from 11am until 11pm and food served 12 noon till last orders at 2.00 p.m. and 6pm with last orders at 9.00 (Sundays 12 – 2.30 and 6 – 8). We also offer menus for takeaway food and wine. We always serve fresh, seasonal produce which has been locally sourced and our menus change regularly.
Extra children beds: £10 per night, cots: £5 per night. Well behaved dogs are accepted in some guest rooms at £5 per night. Please note that dogs must not be left unattended in bedrooms.
We are conveniently situated close to the A1 and in an excellent location for exploring both the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Dales. Nearby towns include Thirsk, Ripon, Leeming Bar and Bedale.
Travelling FROM the South on the A1 you MUST turn off at Junction 50 (A61 Ripon/Thirsk) and join the A6055 which is the local access road for approximately 4 miles. Take the Pickhill sign off the A6055 onto Street Lane.
Travelling FROM the North on the A1 you MUST turn off at Junction 51 (Bedale/Northallerton) onto the A684. Join the A6055 which is the local access road for approximately 5 miles. Take the Pickhill sign off the A6055 onto Street Lane.
