Around one mile of the River Derwent flanks our northern border and the Derwent Walk, a 20 mile long track open to walkers and cyclists runs straight through our farm. Walking, cycling, fishing and birdwatching including spotting our famous Red Kites all feature in the local area, and the fascinating ruins of a 14th century chapel sits within our grounds, a short stroll from the cottage.
National Trust property Gibside is just opposite the farm and we’re an easy drive from the family friendly Beamish Museum. Newcastle attractions are just a 20 minute drive away. The Barn is available all year round for holidays and short breaks (minimum 2 night stays).
