The Granary near Malton and York is a charming holiday cottage situated in the beautiful rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds with wonderful views from all rooms. Accommodation has been lovingly converted, blending contemporary living space with charming traditional features such as original beams and exposed stone walls. The cottage is perfect for large family groups, sleeping 8 guests with the option for an extra 2 guests on futon beds in the games room. For larger groups The Granary can be booked in conjunction with our other cottage - The Mistal - which is next door and sleeps a further 4 guests.
A walled garden is equipped with outdoor furniture and has lovely views across the surrounding countryside.
At the side of the property there is a large lawned area for ball games including croquet and for tennis fans, we have a full size grass tennis court available May to September.
Ample car parking is available for residents.
Arrival is from 4pm on a Saturday and departure is by 10am.

The Yorkshire Wolds Way and the Centenary Way are close by and we're a perfect base for walking, with several public footpaths easily accessible directly from the cottage. The market town of Malton (only a 10 minute drive away) offers plenty of holiday entertainment, including a 27 hole golf course and ample real ale pubs and live music venues including the famous Shed. The North Yorkshire Moors are only some 10 miles away, whilst the historic city of York and its major attractions is 19 miles away.
Along the A64 York to Malton road take the right hand turn off the A64 to Kirkham Priory, Westow and Crambe at the top of Whitwell Hill (dual Carriageway). Once in Kirkham, take a turn left signed Malton and Langton.
Follow the signs for Langton, then take a right turn to Burythorpe. Once in Burythorpe take the turn to Birdsall, and follow the single track road for 200 yards, go round the S bend then immediately turn left to The Hermitage, Granary and Mistal.
