Recently refurbished throughout, Grosmont House Bed & Breakfast is a stunning Victorian house in Grosmont village in the North York Moors. Hosts Selma, Chris and family warmly welcome guests to this beautiful area of the National Park and having lived in the area for 20 years are happy to advise guests on local attractions and activities such as fishing, biking, pony trekking, walking and bird watching.
Selma is an experienced chef, caterer and cook, and has a passion for food, preparing classic locally sourced Full English breakfasts for guests. Attention to detail and exceptional hospitality come as standard and accommodation includes six individually styled en-suite rooms. The B&B sits in a great location close to Grosmont Station where you can pick up the popular North Yorkshire Moors and Esk Valley steam railways.
We have a selection of six en-suite rooms each with their own unique style. All rooms have modern en-suite shower rooms, digital flat-screen TVs with a DVD player, Egyptian cotton bed linen, fluffy soft cotton bath sheets, luxury toiletries, a hairdryer, free WiFi internet access and hot drinks making facilities.
Our classic cooked to order, locally sourced Full English breakfasts are a real treat featuring mouthwatering oak smoked bacon and breakfast chipolatas from Trotters Farm Store and organic free range eggs cooked just as you like them.
Other delicious menu choices include buttered speciality toast with home-made preserves or toasted sourdough with our grilled portabello mushroom, avocado slices, bacon and grilled cherry tomatoes.
We do our best to cater for special diets with a good choice of vegetarian and vegan options. Fruit salad, cereal, yoghurt, speciality teas, Yorkshire Tea or fresh coffee and our fabulous cinnamon and apple porridge are all available.
Breakfast is served in our beautiful new dining room between 8am to 9am, or pre-order your early bird breakfast.
Check-in is between 4pm and 6pm, and check-out is by 10am. Late check-out at noon is available by request for a £15 supplement.
Grosmont village is your perfect base for exploring the North York Moors and coast. We are only a short stroll from Grosmont station where you can pick up the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway south to Pickering or north to Whitby on the coast. The Esk Valley Railway Route running through the heart of the park towards Middlesbrough also makes a stop at Grosmont Station.
Local attractions and activities include Castle Howard, the Steam Railway, fishing, walking and cycling. The North York Moors National Park surrounds us and the B&B is within easy reach of Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and York.
