About these Holiday Cottages

14 and 15 Love Lane Cottages are two beautifully presented early Victorian properties in the heart of Canterbury.  Both sleep 5 guests in 3 bedrooms and accommodation has been lovingly restored in a fresh contemporary style with soft colours and the perfect blend of the new and old.  Available either on a self-catering or bed and breakfast basis, the cottages include free WiFi, an MP3 docking station, a highchair and travel cot and a pretty courtyard garden.

Much prized parking in Canterbury is difficult and we may have a garage available or alternatively we provide voucher parking in a local car park.  Canterbury's many central attractions, historic sites, shops and over 300 places to eat and drink are within easy walking distance.  The city is also just a short distance from Whitstable and Herne Bay on the coast.  Whether you're looking for a charming family cottage, a romantic retreat or a business base, Love Lane Cottages are the perfect choice with short breaks available.

Living Space

  • Three bedroom holiday cottages sleeping 5 with a sitting room, dining and kitchen areas, a conservatory, 1 bathroom and a courtyard garden.
  • The cottages are just through a garden wall from our other property - 7 Longport.
  • Downstairs sitting rooms are stylish, cosy and contemporary in style with Freeview TV, DVD players, iPod docks, radios and classic fireplaces.  They offer the perfect space to relax after a day out sightseeing.
  • No.14 features a separate dining room whilst No.15 has a kitchen/diner ideal for relaxing dining.
  • Both cottages include a fully fitted kitchen with an oven and hob, a dishwasher, a microwave, fridge and a freezer - all you'll need for preparing dishes.

Bedrooms/ Bathrooms

  • First floor bedrooms include a spacious main king-size double and a small single room with garden views.
  • Modern bathrooms contain a bath and shower.
  • Bedroom 3 in both houses is tucked away in the attic area, reached via character narrow steep steps leading to the second floor.
  • In Number 14 the third bedroom is a twin whilst Number 15 has a double.  (guests should note that in Number 14 headroom is limited so will not be suitable for our taller guests).
  • Mattresses are handmade and beds are made up with fine white cotton bed linen.

Garden & Parking

Relax in the pretty courtyard gardens containing colourful and fragrant wisteria and magnolia.  Garden furniture and a barbecue are both available.

Parking can be difficult in bustling Canterbury.  For guests arriving by car we may be able to offer a garage.  We also provide voucher parking for a local car park 150m away.  Canterbury station is within easy walking distance should you wish to leave the car behind.

Around and About

Canterbury and East Kent have become a real 'foodie favourite' area containing Michelin starred restaurants and venues regularly featuring on high profile food programmes.  Over 300 great places to eat and drink are in Canterbury city centre (within easy walking distance of cottages).

Three great restaurants (a Chinese, Thai and Moroccan restaurant) are within 100m.  On arrival we provide guests with a list of superb local restaurants - we particularly recommend Deeson's British Restaurants, The Goods Shed Farmers market and The Sportsman.
