Perfect for relaxing family breaks, Cascade Cottage in Exford takes it's name from the cascade of water which runs from the lake on the hillside above the cottage and into the stream passing by the front door. The cottage is superb base for exploring Exmoor National Park being close to the amenities of both Exford and Withypool.
The stylish lounge is well appointed with two large leather sofas, two armchairs, exposed beams, a wood burner stove, a TV with Freeview service and a DVD player. There is also contemporary dining area for six in the kitchen which is also well equipped with a dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, food processor and small appliances. A utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/ freezer and Belfast sink.
The enclosed courtyard to the rear of the cottage is great for drying off the family dog after walks and there is an attractive garden to the front. This is fenced and a range of shrubs are planted alongside the stream close to the patio seating areas. A footbridge leads over to a further sunny lawn area which is furnished with a table and chairs.
A welcome pack of homemade bread and jam, butter, milk, tea, coffee and sugar is provided for your arrival. We have also supplied a starter pack of 'Ecover' cleaning products along with bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels. Please bring your own beach towels if they are required.
Two dogs are accepted by arrangement at an extra charge of £25. Pets are not to be left unattended at the property and please restrict them to the ground floor and off the furniture.
Short breaks may be available and the weekly changeover day is Friday. Check in time is 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your departure day.
The amenities of the centre of Exford can be found a ten minute walk away and these include two pubs, a tea shop, village shop and post office counter. Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury's can all deliver food to the cottage.
