Dating back to 1857, Waterside Cottage sits on the stunning shoreline and boasts a quarter of an acre of land. There really is no better place for a relaxing getaway with friends or family.
The kitchen is well- equipped with a range of appliances, including a double oven, electric hob, grill, microwave, and a dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room.
The spacious lounge and diner has a cosy woodburner fire, Freeview TV, a piano, large comfy sofas and a selection of books and maps for guests to browse.
A stand out feature of Waterside Cottage is the conservatory to the front of the house, which overlooks the garden and the bay. There's space to store your outdoor clothes, and seating for up to 8 people.
There are 4 charming bedrooms: a ground floor double bedroom with seaviews and an en- suite bedroom, a room with a twin/superkingsize zip and link bed, 1 kingsize bedroom with seaviews and a double bedroom.
Facilities include cosy dressing gowns, hairdryers, built-in wardrobes, washbasins and Arran Aromatics luxury toiletries. Both the main family bathroom and the shower room have underfloor heating for extra comfort.
A travel cot is available by prior arrangement, so please mention this when booking.
The grounds surrounding the property are simply stunning, and offer panoramic views over the water and the islands in the distance. There's a lawn garden, attractive shrubbery, a BBQ and ample outdoor furniture for dining and relaxing.
Free WiFi access is available. Arrive from 4.30pm, depart by 10am. Private parking for up to 3 cars.
A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are welcome to join their owners by prior arrangement, however they must not be left unattended in the property, or allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Please note there is a small charge of £4 per dog per day.
A deposit of £200 is required to secure your booking, and the final balance, plus a security deposit, is to be paid 6 weeks before the date of your arrival.
Bookings are generally from Saturday to Saturday, however short breaks may be available during the low season.
Waterside Cottage is ideally located close to amenities, as well as some great outdoor activities for all the family, from fossil hunting on the beaches, otter spotting, canoeing and kayaking.
Via the Skye Bridge: Come across the Skye Bridge and head north to Portree, drive for seven miles – you’ll pass the big brown tourist sign for the Sleat Peninsula on your left and then you’ll see the sign for the hamlet of Harrapool. Drive past the 30 mile an hour sign and Waterside Cottage is the third house on the right hand side. If you go past the Hebridean Hotel you have gone too far!
Via the ferry and from Armadale: When you come off the ferry take the direction towards Broadford. Travel 30 miles and when you get to a T- junction turn left towards Broadford Village. You’ll see the sign for the hamlet of Harrapool. Drive past the 30 mile an hour sign and Waterside Cottage is the third house on the right hand side. If you go past the Hebridean Hotel you have gone too far.
Via the ferry from Kylerhea: Head towards Broadford and when you reach the t-junction follow the directions above.
