The rare rush thatched roof is now safely preserved under tin and the cottage has the added benefit of a private hot tub. Enjoy scenic walks through nearby 'Waterfall Country' and the village of Ystradgynlais is three miles away. The Gower Peninsula and Brecon can both be reached in around forty minutes.
The property has a light and contemporary interior which compliments the original features including stone flag floors, oak panelling and steep steps which lead up to the bedrooms. The comfy sofas in the sitting have traditional Welsh blankets to 'cwtch up' around the wood burner stove and there is also an antique pine dining table. The lovely kitchen is fitted with a Belfast sink, fridge, freezer, washer and dryer.
The pretty sitting area and hot tub are the ideal place to relax and enjoy the views. There is also plenty of parking and safe storage for mountain bikes.
The first floor bedrooms are accessed via very steep ladder stairs with a stair gate at the top.
The rental price includes linen, towels, electricity and central heating. A initial basket of logs for the wood burner is also provided.
A cot and high chair can be supplied on request.
