Although recently built, Middlegate has all the features of a beautiful quaint country cottage. Detached from a working farm, and in the heart of the North Yorkshire country side. Offering the peace and tranquility you desire for a relaxing holiday, yet on the doorstep of some of the counties most desired attractions.
The interior of this cottage is stylishly decorated, with a large utility room equipped with washing machine, sink and cupboard units and plenty of space for muddy boots and coats, leading to a large open fitted oak kitchen and dining area with fantastic views out to the vale of Pickering.
The fitted oak kitchen is well- equipped with integrated appliances including a dishwasher. There is a large living room with seating for 6 people with a wood burning stove (first basket of firewood provided) and fantastic views.
There are three delightful bedrooms at this cottage: A master bedroom with a large double bed and pine furniture, a second double bedroom, and a third bedroom with twin beds.
The family bathroom has a bath and a separate walk- in shower.
Middlegate Cottage has a large enclosed garden, with outdoor furniture, a patio area, a barbecue in the summer months, and a shed for storing bikes.
A cot and highchair are available on request.

On arrival, guests are greeted by a welcome pack and a bottle wine. Electricity, Oil and a basket of logs are all included. ( additional logs available at extra cost)
A deposit of 10% is required to secure your booking, and the remaining sum is to be paid within 4 weeks of arrival.

With the Yorkshire Moors just a short drive to the north and the Yorkshire Wolds to the south it's the perfect place for walkers and cyclists alike. We’re on the door step of the North York moors national park with breathtaking views and fantastic walks.
To the east you will find Dalby forest with many events taking place throughout the year with plenty of things to discover for kids and adults alike. Further east just half an hour drive you'll find the towns of Whitby and Scarborough with the best fish and chips in the country. For the kids (and the big kids) a short 5 minute trip will see you to Flamingo Land theme park or 5 minutes in the other direction you will find Eden camp, a World War Two museum with lots to learn and discover.
Malton has a weekly outdoor market every Saturday. A Farmers Market selling local produce is held on the last Saturday in the month. It also has a livestock market on a Tues & Friday. Lots of lovely shops, pubs & restaurants including Indian, Italian & Mexican. Pickering has a weekly outdoor market every Monday. Indoor flea market, North York Moors Railway. Lots of lovely shops, pubs & restaurants.
Turn off the A169 Following the signs for Eden Camp. Drive along past Eden Camps turning following the single track road. You will pass over the River, round a couple of bends then you come to a juntion. Do not turn onto The Riggs Road but continue straight over the hump backed bridge. Middlegate is the next turning on your left, after approximately 1.5 miles. Situated at Ackland Farm.
