Situated at the beautiful Bearnock Country Estate in the Scottish Highlands, our unique and family run accommodation is the ideal base for walkers, cyclists or families. We are set close to the Great Glen Way, the new Kintail Way, cruising on Loch Ness and the vast ruins of Urquhart Castle. Other attractions include Caledonian Forest and the bronze age stone circles of Corrimony. The surrounding area is haven for wildlife with wandering deer, pine martens, eagles, buzzards and red squirrels all spotted nearby.
Hobbit Houses - Our five purpose built Hobbit Houses have been hand built and can sleep from one to three people. Each has plenty of storage, comfortable mattresses, mains power, a BBQ area and access to a central cooking area and modern toilet/ shower facilities. Suitable for stays throughout the year, these dry and secure little hideaways provide an excellent alternative to a traditional camping or touring holiday.
Camping/ touring pitches - All our pitches have power and water.
There is a covered cooking area adjacent to our pitches along with shower and toilet facilities. Our peaceful camping/ touring area is set beside the river in a wooded glade with plenty of scenic walks and cycle rides nearby. A company in Inverness can deliver bikes for hire during your stay and there is a children's play area in the grounds. Guests will also find a cafe and shop onsite and there is free Wi-Fi service so you can keep in touch with friends or family during your stay.
Stays from one night are welcome and prices are as follows: Tent pitch £5 per adult per night & £2 per child per night, Caravans/ motor-homes £16 per night for two people with extra people charged at £4 & children £2, Hobbit Houses/ Wigwams from £30 for two people, £38 for 3 and £45 for a family of four. We also offer a special three night family rate of £120.
Bearnock Campsite is located in the heart of Glen Urquhart a few miles from Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. The city of Inverness can also be found a short drive to the north.
