Around and About

The quaint village of Wycoller dates back to the 10th Century, and is where Charlotte Bronte set parts of her famous novel 'Jane Eyre'.  Wycoller Hall, which now lies in ruins, is protected and part of a conservation area.

Further afield, the market town of Colne offers a range of shops and a friendly high street where you can pick up essentials and grab a bite to eat.

The Pendle area and the nearby villages of Barley and Newchurch-in-Pendle are renowned for their links to the Pendle witches and are  great days out.

Once you have reached the Wycoller Country Park car park, continue down the lane until you reach the first house on your right.

Directly opposite is the entrance to Oaklands Cottage.  You should see the milk churn confirming your destination.
