Embrace nature and the beautiful surroundings of Exton Park, without compromising on luxury. Our fantastic 'glamping' tents provide comfortable accommodation and great facilities in a secluded location, ideal for a family getaway - there's more than enough space for children to run around, while parents relax on the decked patio overlooking the open countryside.
Each of the large tents are fitted with great facilities, including a gas- powered hot shower, a flushing wc and heating that turns on when needed.
The kitchen also includes a log burning range oven with a hob - ideal for cooking delicious family meals.
There is an onsite 'honesty shop' where guests can buy non- perishable essential items such as candles, loo roll, tins of baked beans, firelighters and matches.
As our tents are designed to be the ultimate relaxing getaway, guests should be aware that there is no electricity onsite - all tents are fitted with oil/ battery lamps and all cooking can easily be done on the log burner. We can't guarantee mobile signal either, due to the remoteness of the camp site.
There is a car park for vehicles, as we don't allow cars on the site. We provide wheelbarrows for transporting your luggage from your car to the tents.
Well behaved dogs are welcome to join their owners at Lantern and Larks, for a small fee of £20 per dog - however please keep them on a lead and make sure they don't go on the furniture or bedding. No other tents are to be pitched on site.
We recommend that guests take out travel insurance, to cover themselves in the event of a cancellation. We don't allow open fires on the site, due to safety reasons. However guests can hire a firepit for a cost of £10 per night, which is excellent for barbecuing on and we provide unlimited logs.
Unfortunately we don't accept stag or hen groups, or large single sex groups during the typical end of term holidays.
There is flexibility when it comes to booking your stay at Lantern & Larks. We offer week- long breaks (Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday), weekend breaks (Friday to Monday) or mid- week breaks (Monday to Friday.)
The campsite is set on Exton Park, which consists of 500 hectacres of beautiful of grounds, and is occasionally used as a location for film shoots and weddings.
Further afield in the local area there are a number of great attractions for all the family, from adventurous activities such as The Rutland Watersports and RockBlok, to popular restaurants to sample, and Hambledon Bakery - voted Britain's best bakery in 2012!
When you have confirmed your booking and paid the full cost of your stay, you will receive a welcome pack with detailed directions to the camp site, and other information.
