Recently opened in Spring 2015, millions of pounds has been spent on refurbishing this former 'Palmerston's Follies' fort, originally constructed in 1867 to protect Portsmouth naval harbour from attack from Napoleon III's French forces (an attack which never came.) Now, however, it provides luxury accommodation and fine dining to holidaymakers, and also makes a spectacular wedding venue and ideal place to host important business conferences.
There are a number of different suites available at No Man's Fort, starting with the Executive Suite, with a seating area and spacious, slate shower room. There is also a Junior Suite, offering views out to sea, and a large shower room and lounge area. The Superior Suite is the largest bedroom available, with a private lounge, dining area and large en- suite bathroom. The Lighthouse Penthouse Suite is spread over 4 levels, and has a glass floor area, separate lounge, seating area with telescopes and it's own bar and function room.
Enjoy Sunday lunch in the lovingly refurbished dining quarters, with prices starting from just £99. On selected Sundays throughout the year, a 'Rule Britannia Lunch' will be hosted, serving 4 courses of the finest British food.
The excellent facilities at No Man's Fort include a rooftop Hot Tub, sauna, fire pit, sun decks, billiards and games rooms, LaZer Battle arena and the lighthouse.
