Welcome to Rectory Stables in Malmsmead. Once the stable block for The Old Rectory, this beautifully appointed holiday accommodation is ideal for couples or walkers exploring the rugged terrain of Exmoor National Park. Enjoy relaxing in the large garden or in the stylish living area which is set on the first floor to take advantage of the wonderful surrounding views from the Juliet balcony.
The cottage has a compact kitchen area has a counter top oven with two hobs, a fridge, freezer, microwave, small appliances, crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is also a dining area seating two, comfortable chairs and a day bed which is ideal for two guests requiring separate sleeping areas. Entertainment facilities include Freeview TV, a DVD player, CD player and Wi-Fi service.
The double bedroom and bathroom can be found on the ground floor. The bedroom is well equipped with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and the bathroom has a hand basin, WC and shower over the bath.
The cottage enjoys access to a large lawn garden to the rear and a small garden at the front with bench. Off road parking is also provided.
Bed linen, towels, central heating and electricity costs are included in the rental price. Please bring your own beach towels. A welcome supply of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits are supplied for your arrival and we also provide basic cleaning materials.
There is no mobile signal due to the cottage's rural location but the owners live next door and there is a phone for emergency calls.
Short breaks of three or four nights may be available except during August and over the Christmas period. Please note we do not accept pets in this property. Arrival time is after 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your departure day. No smoking.
The cottage is set a short walk from the local amenities of Malmsmead which include the Lorna Doone Arms Inn and a homeware/ gift shop. The amenities of Lynton and Porlock can be found seven miles away and the seaside resort of Minehead is twelve miles away.
