Chapel Knap is a beautiful period property in the Porlock Weir area, and can accommodate up to 7 of your family and friends for a relaxing holiday to remember.
The remaining parts of the original chapel, which was built in the 12th Century, now forms the entrance hall of the property. The house has been refurbished many times during the years, but still retains it's period charm, and is the perfect retreat for a relaxing break.
The cosy living room at Chapel Knap is ideal for unwinding, and is situated next to the kitchen/ dining area. The fitted kitchen is equipped with everything you may need during your stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, slimline dishwasher, toaster, kettle, and all manner of kitchen utensils. In the sitting room, there is a TV with Sky, as well as an open fire with logs provided. Free WiFi.
The bedrooms at Chapel Knap are furbished to a high standard, with a double room, a twin room and a family room. The double room boasts a king- size bed, and the family room consists of king- size double bed and a single bed. The two bathrooms are situated on the first floor, one with both a bath and a shower, and the other with just a bath.
The truly spectacular gardens surrounding Chapel Knap are rather exquisite, consisting of an enclosed, large sub- tropical garden. From the lawned terrace, you can enjoy panoramic views of Porlock Bay and beyond to the sea.
Strictly non- smoking. A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are welcome to stay by prior arrangement, for a fee of £25. We ask that you don't leave your dogs unattended in the house, and do not allow them upstairs, or on the furniture.
Items that are provided for guests' use include tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, washing up liquid, dishwasher powder, surface cleaner, bed linen, duvets and blankets. Please supply your own towels for day trips, and note that bed linen is not provided for the cot. The cot is available if you notify us on booking, so it can be arranged for you.
Private parking is available for a maximum of 2 cars at the property, which is situated 30 metres from the front door along a gravelled path. The owner of the property lives in a small one-bedroom apartment in the downstairs part of the house, and will answer any questions you may have.
During peak periods, Chapel Knap is available for week- long breaks. During less busy periods, shorter breaks of 3 or 4 nights may be available.
Less than a quarter of a mile away from the house is the village of Porlock Weir, where you can find restaurants, a pub and several independent shops.
