With far-reaching field and valley views, The Shippen Cottage is surrounded by orchards and woodlands, with a nearby salmon ladder and with many types of wildlife to be seen nearby. The cottage accommodates four and is suitable for families.
The cottage has a living room including a dining area, with glass doors which open onto the terrace. The kitchen includes a hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. The living space includes a woodburner and has a 32-inch TV, a DVD player and a music system with iPod dock.
This accommodation features one en-suite double bedroom with French doors out to the lawn, and one bedroom with zip-and-link beds that can be converted from a double configuration into twin beds. There is also an additional space into which one of the twin beds can be moved, to provide a total of one double and two single bedrooms. The main bathroom includes a bath with shower attachment.
The Shippen has a terrace area and is surrounded by lawns and open spaces, orchards and bluebell woods. Ample parking is provided on site. Guests can make use of a paddock on site.
The Shippen stands surrounded by orchards. Cider is made on site, within the main barn, and guests are welcome to help themselves from the barrel. Table tennis facilities are available in an adjacent barn, and guests may be able to hire the local tennis court. WiFi is available. A highchair and travel cot can be provided. The property includes a BBQ and charcoal.
The Shippen may be available for short breaks of two nights or more.
The Shippen is less than five miles from a number of farm shops and pubs, as well as the River Cottage Canteen. Beaches can be accessed within a 20 minute drive and Exmoor is just 40 minutes away.
