Beckwood Cottage is a delightful period property, perfect accommodation for a relaxing holiday in the stunning Cotswolds countryside. Sleeping 4 people, this former silk mill will soon become your home away from home, and is sure to make your getaway a memorable one.
The accommodation at Beckwood Cottage is set over 4 floors, with a homely sitting room and kitchen/ dining area, which retain many of the original features from when the building was a silk mill, way back in the 17th Century.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A highchair and travel cot are also available for young families. The sitting room has a wood- burning stove with exposed wooden beams, also has a TV, DVD player, CD player and a payphone.
All the floors are accessed by a steep spiral staircase.
There are two bedrooms at Beckwood Cottage- a twin bedroom with 2 3' beds, and a double bedroom with 5' king-size bed. There is also a family bathroom with a shower.
Outside the cottage, you can find a beautiful garden with apple trees, a mill stream and a decked area with garden furniture, perfect for dining outside on summer evenings.
Babies welcome, however please note that there are water hazards in the garden, and so the property is not suitable for small children. For those with mobility impairments, be aware of the steep spiral staircase. Free WiFi.
The village of Blockley has a grocery store and a few pubs within walking distance from the cottage, and a further selection of pubs, shops, bistros and restaurants are available in the next villages across, in Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Broadway.
For cycling enthusiasts, bicycle hire, including delivery and collection from the cottage, can be arranged through Ty cycles.
