Built in 1847, this stunning country cottage at Trevose Head Lighthouse is a rare treat for holidaymakers, situated overlooking the breathtaking coastline of Padstow.
Pelorus Cottage is all ground floor accommodation, and includes a kitchen, dining room and a sitting room. Providing all the facilities that guests may need during their stay, there is a fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a washer/ dryer, well as a payphone, TV and DVD player. Travel cots and highchairs are to be shared between the 4 cottages.
2 double bedrooms with 5' beds. Bathroom includes bath with overhead shower.
To the side of the cottage is a large communal area with table benches, overlooking the dramatic coastline and out into the sea.
Strictly non- smoking, and no pets allowed. Private parking on the communal tarmac forecourt next to the cottage. Please note that due to the nature of the property, maintenance staff may need to access the cottage to carry out essential emergency maintenance work. The property is accessed by a mile long private road, which is rather narrow, and due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding season, may have some overhanging of vegetation.
Available for short breaks (minimum of 2 nights) off peak.
Situated 4 miles from Pelorus cottage is the traditional fishing village of Padstow, with local bistros and cafes, as well as the renowned seafood restaurant of celebrity chef Rick Stein. Harlyn Bay, a short drive from the cottage, offers a sheltered family beach with rock pools, surfing and a lifeguard in the summer. A 30 minute drive away is the Eden Project, the worlds largest indoor rainforest. The South West Coast Path, a popular walking route, runs around the headland and follows on in the direction of Padstow.
