Stay in this very special cottage at Trevose Head Lighthouse, offering enviable coastal views out to sea. Built in 1847, it is one of four semi- detached properties at the lighthouse, and is accessed by a mile-long private road.
The interior of Brook Cottage is all based on the ground floor, and provides the perfect accommodation for a relaxing stay. There is an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, including a fridge/ freezer, microwave, washer/ dryer, dishwasher, TV, DVD and payphone.
The cottage has gas central heating, as well as two travel cots and highchairs (to be shared between the four cottages.)
Brook Cottage can sleep up to four people in 2 bedrooms, boasting a double bedroom with a 5' bed, and a twin bedroom with 3' beds. There is also a shower room with a toilet.
The four cottages are 75' above the sea, beneath a headland. There is a large communal area shared by all four cottages to the side of the property, with picnic benches overlooking the fenced- off coastline.
Strictly non- smoking, and towels are not to be removed from the property. On- site parking on the communal tarmac forecourt is provided, as well as further public parking just 100 yards away.
We do not permit any kind of open fires around the cottage, including BBQs and fireworks. Dogs welcome. Please be aware that visits by maintenance staff may occur, as the lighthouse and it's equipment needs to be regularly maintained. The access roads to some of the sites may be narrow, with overhanging vegetation, due to restrictions on cutting during bird breeding season.
Available for short breaks (minimum 2 nights) off peak.
The nearest village, 4 miles away, is Padstow- offering several bistros and cafes, as well as celebrity chef Rick Stein's seafood restaurant. A 30 minute drive away is the Eden Project.
Popular with walkers, the South West Coast Path runs close by to the lighthouse, and on to Padstow. Harlyn Bay offerers surfing and a clean family beach, with a lifeguard on duty during the summer.
