Beacon Cottage offers self-catering accommodation for up to six people, on the site of the Start Point Lighthouse which is currently operational and is also open to visitors through the main season.
The accommodation includes a sitting room with a TV and DVD player. The kitchen has laundry facilities, a dishwasher, a fridge freezer and a hob and double oven. The cottage also includes dining room.
Beacon Cottage has two bedrooms with zip-and-link beds, to be set up as double or twin rooms. One will be configured as a double and one will be configured as a twin room, unless otherwise requested. There is also a further double bedroom. The property has one shower room.
The cottage is on the cliff edge with views of Start Bay. There is a small patio with decking.
The lighthouse includes an automated alarm, triggered by foggy conditions as a warning to passing boats. Ear plugs are provided in case the alarm is activated. All guests must be over the age of 11, or non-mobile babies. A travel cot and highchair can be included. Access to the property is along a narrow country road which may be slightly overgrown or have overhanging branches.
The cottage is available for stays of two nights or more.
The accommodation is located on the South West Coast Path. Locations nearby include Dartmouth and Salcombe, Slapton and Blackpool Sands.
