Welcome to Old Quarry Cottage in Coniston. Situated on one of the highest roads in the village, the cottage is one of a terrace built in the early 18th century for the local mine workers. Enjoy wonderful views over the lake and surrounding area along with lovely period features such as slate floors, old fashioned Belfast sink and open fire.
You enter into the slate-floored kitchen-diner; modern fully equipped wooden units juxtapose with the old fashioned Belfast sink in the window. The living room with recessed shelving and its slate open fire also give you a sense of old cottage life. A patio door leads you out onto a small terrace, with stunning views across to Coniston Water: a perfect spot for doing nothing but relaxing and enjoying the moment. There's a steep path down the garden. Upstairs there's the double room with the view, and one without. If there are four of you, you'll have to share, it's only fair.
