About this Holiday Cottage

Laykin Cottage is an exceptionally luxurious Yorkshire Dales property which is accessed via its own private road. Offering breath-taking views over Swaledale below, the cottage has plenty of outdoor space and there are numerous walks and cycle rides which can be enjoyed right from the doorstep. 

Inside

There is a spacious sitting room with two large leather sofas, a wood burner stove, flat screen TV and plenty of space for the family to relax.  Entertainment facilities include Freeview service and a DVD player. The kitchen has a contemporary dining area which can seat six, a Rayburn, heated stone floors, a built in oven, hob and a central island with stools.

Close to the entrance of the cottage is a boot/ drying room which will prove very handy for walkers and cyclists.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

The bedrooms at Laykin Cottage are presented as two sumptuous king size doubles, a large twin room and a very generous single. There are two family bathrooms with showers along with a ground floor utility room with shower and WC. 

Outside

The cottage has a charming raised lawn garden to the side and further gardens to the front with a barbecue and patio furniture. Off road parking is provided.

Availability

Short breaks of three nights or more are welcome except over the Christmas/ New Year period. Please note that this cottage does not accept pets. 

Around and About 

There are maps and walking books provided in the cottage and bike hire is available in nearby Reeth. The village of Low Row is home to an award winning pub and the area is well known for the annual Swaledale Festival. Springtime is also a wonderful time to visit Swaledale with the beautiful wild flower meadows in bloom. There is no street lighting for miles and the area is popular with star gazers.
