About this Holiday Cottage

Ideal for larger families or groups, The Coach House is a stunning four bedroom property near York situated in acres of private gardens and just a short drive from the City's historical attractions. 


The generous kitchen/ dining room sits at the heart of the house and has a central island, Smeg fridge/ freezer, an Aga and plenty of other appliances. There is also a formal dining room and cosy snug with wood burner stove and large screen TV. The elegant sitting room overlooks the formal gardens and has a large feature fireplace, two large sofas, two easy chairs and dual aspect windows. There is also a seating area and small library in the entrance hallway.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

The bedrooms at the Coach House are set on the first and second floors and include a master double bedroom which looks out over the formal gardens and beyond. This spacious room has a walk in dressing room and large ensuite shower room with his and hers sinks. The second room is a twin overlooking the garden and the third is s charming double with iron bedstead and antique furnishings. The final bedroom is set in the eaves of the house and has zip and link beds which can be presented as either a double or twin. A family bathroom is located on the second floor and has a roll top bath and walk in shower.


The Coach House sits in acres of grounds with outdoor seating areas, tennis court and off road car parking.


Short breaks of three nights or more are welcome except over the Christmas/ New Year period when a five night minimum stay applies. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. 

Around and About

The cottage is set in the Howardian Hills - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - just north of York. Cyclists and walkers are well catered for with plenty of scenic trails to be found in the surrounding area. Attractions include Castle Howard, the home of Brideshead Revisited, steam train rides from Pickering, the market town of Helmsley and the varied amenities of Malton.
