About this Holiday Cottage

Ideal for both family holidays and romantic breaks, Seaves Cottage is a handsome Grade II listed cottage dating back to 1427. The perfect town and country retreat, the North Yorkshire Moors National Park is just to the north and the historic city of York is under fifteen miles away.

The cottage retains plenty of period charm including exposed beams, oak flooring and a characterful sitting room with wood burner stove. There is also comfortable leather seating, a flat screen TV, DVD player, bookcase and dresser. The country style kitchen has a built in electric oven and hob, microwave, Belfast sink and plenty of small appliances. Enjoy the scenic views from this room over the duck pond. The formal dining room can seat six and has a period style table with four chairs and bench along with a feature fireplace.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

The two bedrooms are set on the first floor and presented as one master bedroom with ensuite facilities and double bed. The second bedroom can be arranged with either twin beds or one super king size bed as requested and there is a family bathroom with roll top bath. Both bedrooms offer lovely views over the North York Moors.

There is a pretty courtyard garden which leads to the duck pond and beyond.

Short breaks of three nights or more are accepted throughout the year except at Christmas time where a five night minimum stay applies. Children over the age of eight years old are welcome.

Around and About

The nearest pub and shop can be found two miles away. York is less than fifteen miles away and the cottage is ideal for exploring the Howardian Hills - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Other attractions nearby include walks on the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, plenty of gastro pubs, Castle Howard and the attractive market town of Helmsley.
